Road Closures Scheduled For Funeral Of Nypd Officer From Long Island Killed In Hit-Run Crash Several road closures are scheduled for the wake and funeral of Long Island resident and NYPD Officer Anastasios Tsakos who was hit and killed by an alleged drunk driver on the Long Island Expressway last week. Tsakos, age 43, of East Northport, was killed on Tuesday, April 27, when he was working another accident on the LIE and was allegedly hit and killed by Jessica Beauvais, age 32, of Hempstead, who then fled the scene. Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said on Tuesday, April 27 that Jessica Beauvais, age 32, of Hempstead, had been charged with aggravated manslaughter and two counts of vehicular manslaughter, and other crimes in connection with the death of Officer Anastasios Tsakos, age 43, of East Northport.
