Fatal Crash: 46-Year-Old ID'd As Victim On Long Island Roadway One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened around 6:20 p.m. Thursday, June 13 in Holtsville. Jared Rueb, age 46, was operating a 2005 Honda motorcycle southbound on North Ocean Avenue by Peconic Avenue, when he lost control and struck a curb, according to Suffolk County Police. He was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police have not yet released Rueb's place of residence. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552
