Man Convicted In Murder Of 22-Year-Old College Student From Long Island A former Binghamton University student who sparked an international manhunt has been convicted by a Nicaraguan judge of killing a Long Island woman over a jilted love affair. 
Orlando Tercero, 23, a former Binghamton University nursing student, was found guilty of killing Westbury native Haley Anderson, 22, in March last year. He will face up to 30 years in prison when he is sentenced. No sentencing date has been set. Tercero, who is a citizen of both the United States and Nicaragua, still faces a second-degree murder charge in Broome County, though Nicaraguan officials have so far refuse…
