Closures Scheduled For Loop Parkway In Hempstead: Here's When For two days, both directions of a Long Island parkway will be closed for rehabilitation, transportation officials announced. On both Monday, Feb. 19, and Tuesday, Feb. 20, the Loop Parkway in Hempstead will be subject to closure, the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) said. The closures on Monday will last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. During that time, lanes in both directions will be subject to intermittent closures at the drawbridge. Closures On Stretch Of Meadowbrook State Parkway Scheduled State officials announced upcoming lane reductions and closures on a stretch of the Meadowbrook State Parkway. The parkway will be closed in both directions between the Loop Parkway (Exit M10) and Bay Parkway in Hempstead beginning the night of Monday, Sept. 19, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.
