19-Year-Old Duo Nabbed In Robbery, Attempted Robberies Of Mail Carriers On Long Island: Police A pair of 19-year-olds were arrested in connection with a string of attempted robberies, one of them successful, targeting mail carriers on Long Island. Aaron Nelson, of Deer Park, was taken into custody Thursday evening, May 30, following an investigation by Suffolk County Police detectives.  It came months after a second suspect, Chrisnell Maitre, of Deer Park, was arrested Thursday, Feb. 29. US Postal Mail Carrier Robbed In Quiet Long Island Neighborhood, Suspect Steals 'Arrow' Key A suspect is on the loose after a US Postal Service carrier was robbed in a residential Long Island neighborhood. The carrier was in his mail truck in North Babylon at approximately 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, and had just removed mail from the mailbox located at the corner of Hughes Lane and Miller Avenue when a suspect approached him and demanded the Arrow key which opens all the mailboxes in the North Babylon area, Suffolk County Police said.
