Home Health Aide Charged In Death Of 83-Year-Old Man In Garden City, Police Say A Long Island home health aide is facing charges in the death of an 83-year-old man. Gail Godwin, age 63, of Bay Shore, was charged with second-degree manslaughter in the homicide that occurred in Garden City at about 9:20 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 27, according to the Nassau County Police Department. Garden City Police officers responded to a report of an unconscious man at a residence on Monroe Street.
