Fatal Overnight House Fire: Long Island Man ID'd As Victim A Long Island man has died from injuries suffered in a house fire. The blaze broke out around 9:55 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10 in Hampton Bays. When police officers and firefighters arrived a woman who was able to escape the home, told officers that a man was still inside the Rolling Hill Road residence as heavy smoke and fire poured from the residence,  said Sgt. Gina Laferrera, of the Southampton Police. Laferrera said firefighters were able to rescue the man, identified as Gregory Konesky, age 70, of Hampton Bays, and transported him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The wom…

Movie Producer’s $6M Long Island Mansion Destroyed In Fire, Report Says A multimillion-dollar New York mansion is a “100 percent loss” following an early-morning fire that drew multiple agencies. Crews were dispatched to the Long Island home, located in Southampton on Edge of Woods Road, at around 12:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, according to Southampton Fire spokesperson Chris Brenner. By the time firefighters arrived, the nine-bedroom, 9,500 square-foot home was fully engulfed in flames, Brenner said. It took crews about 30 minutes to get the blaze under control. Long Island Man Dies After Being Electrocuted, Police Say A Long Island man has died after being electrocuted when he got out of his dump truck after it came into contact with overhead electrical wires. Luigi T. Cicillini, age 18, of Selden, was electrocuted when he exited the truck around 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the East Coast Mines and Material on Lewis Road in East Quogue, said Lt. Susan Ralph of the Southampton Police.
