Bada Bing: 'Sopranos' Movie Films In Garden City It was like a step back in time when some 250 cast, crew and actors filming the “Sopranos” prequel, "The Many Saints of Newark,” rolled into Garden City. Filming took place Tuesday, April 16,  with cast appearing in black clothing at the Fairchild Sons Funeral Home, at 1201 Franklin Ave.  Gawkers in the area reported seeing star Michael Gandolfini, the son of the late "Sopranos" star James Gandolfini.
