Pasta La Vista: Italian Restaurant Chain Shutters Only Long Island Locations
An Italian restaurant chain with locations across the country has closed several of its New York eateries. Carrabba’s Italian Grill shuttered its Albany County restaurant – located in Latham at 675 Troy Schenectady Road – on Friday, Feb. 23 after 19 years in operation. It was the company’s sole Capital Region location. The restaurant chain also closed its only Long Island locations, in Smithtown at 730 Smithtown Bypass, and in Central Islip at 20 North Research Place. Duo Wanted For Using Credit Cards Stolen From Long Island Restaurant
Police investigators on Long Island are seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating a pair of wanted men who allegedly used credit cards that were stolen from an area restaurant in April. In Smithtown, police said that credit cards were taken from a purse from a parked car at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 30 while a woman was dining at Carrabba's Italian Grill on Smithtown Bypass. A woman has been accused of grand larceny after police say she used stolen credit cards at multiple Long Island pharmacies. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are on the lookout for a woman, pictured above, who is accused of using stolen credit cards at Walgreens and CVS in Centereach on Sunday, Nov. 17 around 9 p.m. The credit cards were stolen from a pocketbook inside a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta parked at Carrabba’s Italian Grill in Smithtown (730 Nesconset Highway) at approximately 11:30 a.m. the same day, according to police.
