Horse Pulled From Pool At Long Island Home Police rescued a horse from a pool at a Long Island home. The incident took place in Suffolk County around 7:50 a.m., Saturday, March 19, when officers responded to a 911 call of a horse stuck in a pool cover at a home in Bohemia. Police and members of the Bohemia Fire Department responded and pulled the horse, a 3-year-old female named Penny, from the deep end of the pool through the shallow end, said the Suffolk County Police. Two Firefighters Injured During Boat Fire At Long Island Marina Two firefighters received minor injuries during a boat fire at a marina on Long Island. The incident took place in Suffolk County around 4 p.m., Sunday, July 12, at Green's Creek Marina, on Atlantic Avenue in West Sayville, said officials with the West Sayville Fire Department. Arriving firefighters found two boats heavily involved in a fire, but were able to keep the flames from spreading to other boats in the near vicinity.
