Two From Region Jump To Safety After Yacht Bursts Into Flames Three people, including a man and woman from Connecticut,  jumped to safety after a 70-foot yacht caught fire and burned in New Hampshire. The incident happened around 4 p.m. Saturday, June 18 on the Piscataqua River, near Little Harbor, about 60 miles north of Boston. The incident took place just before 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 27 in Amityville, at 299 S. Ketchum Ave. Once on the scene, firefighters found two boats on fire that were dry-docked next to a house, the Amityville Fire Department said. Two Firefighters Injured During Boat Fire At Long Island Marina Two firefighters received minor injuries during a boat fire at a marina on Long Island. The incident took place in Suffolk County around 4 p.m., Sunday, July 12, at Green's Creek Marina, on Atlantic Avenue in West Sayville, said officials with the West Sayville Fire Department. Arriving firefighters found two boats heavily involved in a fire, but were able to keep the flames from spreading to other boats in the near vicinity. Boat Sinks After It Bursts Into Flames At Yacht Club In Nassau County A boat docked on Long Island sunk after it went up in flames at a yacht club, Nassau County police said. Nassau County Police officers responded to the Keystone Yacht Club in Woodmere at approximately 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, when there was a report of a boat on fire in the water. According to police, officers found the 39-foot boat docked in the water after it became fully engulfed in flames.
