45-Year-Old Killed After Being Struck By Car At Long Island Intersection Police are investigating a fatal crash at a Long Island intersection. It happened around 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5 in Copiague. Baudilio Zamora, age 45, of Copiague, was crossing Sunrise Highway southbound at the intersection of Bethpage Road when he was struck by a 2019 Nissan Altima being driven by a 33-year-old Hicksville man, Suffolk County Police said. Zamora was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Officer of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.  The Altima driver was not injured. Three Teens Assault 19-Year-Old Near Long Island High School, Police Say Two teens are facing charges and a third is at large after ganging up to beat up a high school student on Long Island, police said. Suffolk County Police said that a 19-year-old student at Copiague High School was standing near the building at the corner of Dixon Avenue and Bethpage Road in Copiague - off school grounds - at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 14, when he was surrounded by a group of other students.
