Pickup Truck Driver Intentionally Rams Audi, Police Cruisers On Meadowbrook Parkway, Police Say A man driving a pickup truck was taken into custody on Long Island after repeatedly ramming an Audi on the Meadowbrook State Parkway into New York State Police cruisers and attempting to flee, police said. New York State Police troopers were dispatched at approximately 9:38 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, to a stretch of the parkway in Hempstead, where there was a report of a Toyota Tundra purposefully ramming an Audi near exit M8. Driver Arrested Following County-To-County Police Chase On Meadowbrook State Parkway A Hempstead man was arrested following a police pursuit that began in Nassau County and ended in Suffolk County all the while ramming a vehicle on the Meadowbrook State Parkway. The incident began around 9:38 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16, when New York State Police responded to a call of an ongoing incident on the parkway, said Trooper Daniel Ahlgrim, spokesman for the department.
