Donatila O’Mahony, age 42, of Central Islip, was found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of Lee Pedersen in Suffolk County Court on Tuesday, Jan. 24. According to prosecutors, Pedersen was found dead inside his Aquebogue home on March 8, 2020. A white SUV was involved in the incident in Riverhead at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12, according to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers. Man Found Dead Inside Long Island Home A man was found dead with a gunshot wound at a Long Island home. It happened on Sunday, March 8 just before 10:30 p.m. on the North Fork, in Aquebogue. Riverhead Town Police responded to 45 Pine Ave. to check on the welfare of the owner of the house, Lee Pedersen, who was found dead.  An autopsy by the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner determined Pedersen, 69, died of a gunshot wound. Long Island's Last Remaining Duck Farm Still Flourishing After 111 Years Crescent Duck Farm in Aquebogue grows genuine Long Island Duck and is the last duck farm on Long Island. Its president, Doug Corwin, is the fifth generation in his family to run the farm. The business began in 1908 on land purchased by a family ancestor, Matthias Corwin, in 1640. The farm breeds, hatchers and grows about one million ducks each year on 140 acres. The farm buys corn, soybean, and wheat and mills it into nutritional pellets to feed the ducks.
