Woman Loses Control Of Vehicle, Hits Nassau House, Gets Stuck In Stairwell A 53-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly losing control of her vehicle and hitting a Long Island house, with the vehicle becoming stuck in the basement stairwell. The crash took place around 10:15 p.m., Monday, March 1 on Thorne Drive, in Bethpage, said the Nassau County Police. According to police, Eighth Precinct officers responded to a residence on Thorne Drive for an auto accident.
