17-Year-Old Suspect Nabbed After Robbery At Valley Stream North HS A teenage suspect is in custody after an overnight robbery at a Long Island high school. The incident happened around 8:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 in Franklin Square. Three boys were approached by another teenage boy in the rear of Valley Stream North High School located at 750 Herman Ave.  The suspect then threatened the use of a weapon and demanded their property that was in their pockets, Nassau County Police said.  A brief struggle ensued after the suspect grabbed one of the boys around his neck and obstructed his breathing putting him in fear for his life. Freeport Woman Steals $4K From Residents In North Bellmore, Police Say A Long Island woman has been charged with grand larceny after allegedly stealing funds from resident's accounts where she was employed.  Nassau County resident Ashley Atkinson, age 22, of Freeport, was arrested on Thursday, June 29 for grand larceny in North Bellmore. Suspect Nabbed In Fatal Long Beach Shooting Of 37-Year-Old A suspect has been charged nearly three months after a fatal Long Island shooting. It happened on Saturday, March 19 at around 2:20 a.m. in Long Beach.
