Woman Critically Injured After Being Hit By Pickup Truck In Mineola A woman suffered critical injuries after being hit by a pickup truck on Long Island. It happened around 10:15 a.m.  Friday, Sept. 13, in Mineola, Nassau County Police said. According to detectives, the woman was crossing the street eastbound on Mineola Boulevard. at 2nd Street when she was struck by a 2004 Dodge Ram, which was making the left turn from 2nd Street.  The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.  The woman suffered multiple injuries and was transported to a local hospital where she is in critical condition.
