Nassau Community College Student Fatally Shot, Body Reportedly Dumped In Queens Neighborhood A Nassau Community College student was found shot to death just a block from his Queens home. New York City Police said Jay Patel was found by police around 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, after receiving a 911 call for an unconscious man in front of a building on 268th Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 19-year-old man, later identified as Patel, with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, the NYPD said.
