Woman Shot Several Times Inside Long Island House A 25-year-old woman was shot non-fatally several times while inside a Long Island home. The Central Islip incident took place at approximately 12:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, Suffolk County Police said. The shots came from outside the house on East Halley Lane that the victim was inside; she was transported to the hospital and treated for her injuries.  Anyone with information pertaining to the shooting is asked to call the Suffolk County Police Department's Third Squad at 631-854-8352 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
