Long Island Woman Seriously Injured After Blown Tire Leads To Crash A 37-year-old Long Island woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on Sunrise Highway. The crash happened on the westbound Sunrise Highway (Route 27) near Hospital Road in East Patchogue at about 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. Three Nabbed In Baldwin With Loaded Firearm During Traffic Stop Three people were charged on Long Island for alleged criminal possession of a weapon following a traffic stop. The arrests took place in Baldwin around 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, on Cheshire Drive. According to Nassau County Police detectives, officers spotted a 2007 Nissan Altima with a defective headlamp on Cheshire Drive, and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, a loaded semi-automatic pistol was located inside the vehicle.
