Nassau County Man Charged With DWI, Manslaughter After Crash Killing Woman
A man driving drunk has been charged after a crash resulted in the death of a female motorist.
The crashed occurred in Bethpage on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 10:35 a.m.
While traveling southbound on Stewart Avenue near the intersection of Linden Avenue, John Cappello, 30, of Massapequa, operating a 2000 Mitsubishi Montero, crossed over into oncoming traffic, Nassau County Police said.
The Montero then collided with a 2019 Nissan Rogue traveling northbound and operated by a 74-year-old woman, according to police.
