A 90-year-old passenger was killed after a vehicle overturned and crashed into trees on Long Island.

Southampton Police officers received multiple reports of a vehicle off the roadway on County Road 94 at about 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, the Southampton Town Police Department said.

Police said a 2011 Chrysler was traveling east when it left the road, overturned, and crashed into trees in the median.

The passenger, identified as John Cushen, of Southold, died from his injuries, authorities said. 

Police reported that the driver, a 68-year-old Southold woman, was hospitalized for treatment of injuries. 

Police said the crash is under investigation and asked anyone with information to call 631-702-2230.
