Selvin Guillen Ulloa, age 19, of Glen Cove, was arrested around 9:22 p.m., Wednesday, April 21, following the assault in Greenvale, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, officers responded to a fight at the Barefoot Peddler located at 37 Glen Cove Road. Upon arrival, officers observed Ulloa, along with Marlon Miguel Guillen, 42, and Marlon Miguel Guillen Jr., 20, both of Glen Cove, engaged in a fight.
The men refused verbal commands to disburse and during the fight, a female officer was struck in the face with a closed fist by Ulloa, police said.
She suffered from substantial pain and swelling and was treated at a local hospital for her injury.
Ulloa was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
- Resisting arrest
- Disorderly conduct
The two other men were also arrested and charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
They will be arraigned on Thursday, April 22, in Mineola.
