3 Injured, 1 Critically, in 2-Vehicle Elmont Crash

Three people were injured, one critically, during a two-vehicle crash on Long Island.

The crash occurred in Nassau County around 10 p.m., Monday, Aug. 29, in Elmont.

According to Nassau County Police detectives, a man operating a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle with a female passenger was involved in the collision with a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder being driven by a 52-year-old man on Dutch Broadway and Harriet Street.

As a result, the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, Nassau County Police said.

The female motorcycle passenger also suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital, where she is listed in stable condition, police said.

The driver of the Pathfinder suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital as well, police added. 

The investigation is ongoing.
