Police have released the identity of a 23-month-old baby girl who died in a Long Island house fire that also injured four others.

Majesty Gerald was killed around 3:08 a.m., Wednesday, March 10 at 69 Maple Lane, in the hamlet of Gordon Heights, said Suffolk County Police.

Sixth Precinct officers responded to the home after a 911 caller reported a fire at the location. Nine members of an extended family were inside the residence at the time of the fire.

After the fire was extinguished, Majesty was found inside the residence. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

A 34-year-old woman, a 57-year-old man, a 4-year-old girl, and a member of Medford Fire Department were transported to area hospitals for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

The five remaining family members were unharmed.
