ID Released For 38-Year-Old Driver Killed In Single-Vehicle Long Island Crash

A man killed during a single-vehicle crash on Long Island has been identified by police.

Michael Crisci, 38, was killed around 7:10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25, after losing control of his vehicle in Center Moriches, said the Suffolk County Police.

According to detectives, Crisci, a resident of Center Moriches, was driving a 2000 Lincoln southbound on Brookfield Avenue when the vehicle left the road and struck a mailbox and then slammed into a clump of trees in front of 42 Brookfield Ave.

Crisci was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
