Mt. Kisco and Bedford Hit With 6 inches of Snow

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y.-The Mount Kisco area received more than six inches of snowfall on Saturday, the first snow to hit the ground in 2012. According to the National Weather Service, the Mount Kisco area had 6.1 inches, with the neighboring Armonk area netting 5.3 inches. New Rochelle saw 3.8 inches.

The accumulation wreaked havoc on local activities, including shutting down the Katonah Art Center for the day, while also postponing programs in the Mount Kisco Public Library.The Library's GED class that was supposed to run from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. was cancelled, while the Art Reception that was scheduled for 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m was moved to January 28 at 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

The program "It Takes a Village" at the Bedford Art Show on Saturday at St. Matthews Church in Bedford was rescheduled for Sunday the 22nd at 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
