Part of a busy main road in Northern Westchester has been renamed by the New York State Legislature to honor the memory of a dedicated police officer who died at a young age after a sudden illness. A portion of Crompond Road (Route 202) in Yorktown will be renamed as the “Captain Kenneth Sgroi Memorial Highway" after Lieutenant Kenneth Sgroi of the Yorktown Police Department, who died on Monday, Jan. 2 at the age of 37 after a brief illness. New Details: 150 Starving Cats Seized After Man, Woman Found Dead In Northern Westchester Home
A seemingly endless amount of cats were seized from a Northern Westchester home after a man and woman were found dead by police during a welfare check. Earlier Report - 2 Found Dead In Yorktown Home The cats were found on Monday, Jan. 30 around 9:50 p.m. when police performed a welfare check on a residence in Yorktown Heights located on the 100 block of Cordial Road and found the bodies of a man and woman who had died.
