Two suspects from Long Island took police in Westchester on a wild chase through the Hudson Valley and Connecticut before crashing and being busted with an illegal, loaded handgun, authorities announced. Police Bust Man With Illegal Handgun In Westchester After Receiving Tip
Police busted a man with an illegal handgun after being tipped off about a potential sale of the weapon in Westchester. At approximately 4:20 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7, officers from the New Rochelle Police Department and Real-Time Crime Center at Westchester County Police Headquarters received information about a possible gun sale about to take place in the area of Pershing Square. Trio Facing Weapons Charges After Westchester Traffic Stop
A midday traffic stop in Westchester led to the arrest of a wanted man and two others who were allegedly found in possession of an illegally loaded weapon, police announced. New Rochelle Police Capt. J. Collins Coyne said that officers from the department and the Real-Time Crime Center at Westchester County Police Headquarters were notified that a wanted man was in a vehicle in the south side of the city. Suspect Busted After Shots Fired In Westchester Housing Complex, Police Say
An investigation into reports of shots fired in a crowded Westchester housing complex led to the arrest of a Connecticut man who now faces a pair of charges, police said. Shortly before 11:15 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 6, a New Rochelle Police officer on patrol heard gunshots coming from the Heritage Home housing complex, prompting an investigation at the scene. Police said that upon arrival at the housing complex, officers found people fleeing the area, but were unable to locate a shooter or victim at that time.
