12 Firefighters Injured While Battling Blaze At Westchester Apartment Building
A dozen firefighters suffered injuries while fighting a devastating blaze in Westchester that left around 20 people without homes. The incident began at around 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1, when the third floor of a six-unit apartment building at 122 Downing St. in Yonkers caught on fire, according to Yonkers Assistant Fire Chief Joseph Citrone. Fire Breaks Out At House In Northern Westchester
A home with an expansive view of the Hudson River was damaged by a fire that started in the chimney chase, according to the Mohegan Volunteer Fire Department. The fire started around 12:10 a.m. Thursday at the home on Forest Avenue in Cortlandt, the department said.
