Westchester HS Football Golden Dozen Scholar-Athlete Team Unveiled The Westchester Chapter of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame has cited varsity football standouts for both athletic and academic excellence with its Scholar-Athlete or "Golden Dozen" team. This year’s winners will be honored in January at the 46th annual awards banquet at the Westchester Country Club in Rye. Area Hockey Player Named Section 1 League MVP Area Hockey Player Named Section 1 League MVP
Area Hockey Player Named Section 1 League MVP Hendrick Hudson High School senior Brett Hanson was recently named "most valuable player" for Section 1, League D.  Hanson, a senior on the newly-created Cortlandt Rebels Ice Hockey team, will graduate as Hendrick Hudson’s all-time scoring leader, with a career total of 151 points. Hanson also was selected as an All-Section player this year in Section 1, one of only 17 players in the entire section.  This year, the Cortlandt Rebels consisted of players from Hendrick Hudson, Walter Panas, Lakeland, Putnam Valley and Haldane.
