Court 16, a New York City-based boutique indoor tennis and pickleball club, signed a lease for a new 16,500-square-foot indoor facility at the Ridge Hill shopping center in Yonkers, the club announced this week. New York is loosening its mask-wearing restrictions for students and staff next week as the state continues its recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Beginning on Monday, June 7, masks will no longer be required indoors or outdoors in New York schools after seeing nearly two straight months of the COVID-19 positivity rate dropping. As of Monday, masks will be “strongly encouraged” for unvaccinated people, but not required. The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) has just issued brand-new guidance for summer camps amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Vaccinated adolescents do not need to wear masks at camp, and younger campers who have not been vaccinated can usually shed face coverings when outdoors, the CDC said on Friday, May 28. 19: New York Amusement Parks, Family Centers, Given Green Light To Reopen
With COVID-19 numbers continuing to drop in New York, Gov. Andrew Cuomo has offered new guidance on reopening amusement parks, indoor family entertainment centers, and summer camps. Cuomo announced on Wednesday, Feb. 17 that indoor family entertainment centers can open up to 25 percent capacity on Friday, March 26, with social distancing rules and temperature checks put in place.
