Bedford Central Considers Closing Pair Of Elementary Schools As student enrollment continues to decline in the Bedford Central School District, officials are considering consolidating their elementary schools, closing two as part of their “long-range facilities plan development.” The district commissioned three demographic studies, which determined that enrollment is on the decline and that each of the district’s five current elementary schools has excess capacity, which is expected to continue to grow. $115M Greenburgh Schools Bond Vote Postponed After months of discussion and consideration, the Greenburgh Board of Education voted to give the community more time to decide whether to consolidate each of its schools onto one campus. The community was originally scheduled to vote on the $114.6 million bond on whether to consolidate all schools to the Warburg campus on Tuesday, Feb. 12.
