Breeze Airways Adding Nonstop Service From Westchester County Airport To This Sunny Destination
You’ll soon have more options when it comes to booking that Florida vacation. Breeze Airways is expanding its service from New York and Connecticut to the Sunshine State, the airline announced Wednesday, Aug. 7. Starting this fall, customers can book nonstop flights from both Westchester County Airport and Long Island MacArthur Airport to Sarasota, Florida. The airline is also adding nonstop service from Westchester to Daytona Beach, Florida. George R. "Dick" Clarke, a native of Northern Westchester, died at the age of 99 in hospice care after a "long and full life." Born in 1925 in Ossining to William C. and Edith R. Clarke, George Clarke attended St. Augustine Parochial School and Ossining Jr./Sr. High School. Well-known throughout the area, Clarke graduated from Manhattan College with a bachelor of electrical engineering degree and worked for more than 40 years for Westinghouse Electric Corporation, with 20 years being in the International Division traveling the world, his obituary said. Ian has strengthened to Category 4 hurricane status and its projected path has changed as it nears a direct hit on the southwest Florida coast with the potential to be one of the most devastating and costly storms in US history. Arlene M. Mavilia, 75, of Baldwin Place, NY and a former resident of South Salem, passed away on May 9 after a brief fight with cancer. Arlene was born November 11, 1946 in Brooklyn to the late Alfhild and Edward Anderson. She grew up in Lake Telemark, NJ and Stamford, CT before settling in South Salem’s Lake Waccabuc community. Gruesome new details have been released in a 47-page report by a medical examiner as to the condition of Brian Laundrie's remains after they were discovered in an environmental preserve in Florida. The report, released Monday, Feb. 14, by District Twelve Medical Examiner in Sarasota, Florida, revealed that Laundrie, who admittedly killed fellow Long Island native Gabby Petito, who also grew up in Blue Point in Suffolk County, shot himself in the left side of the head and his body was then partially eaten by animals.
