Sidewalk Work To Block Entrance To Town Hall, Library In Mount Kisco
The entrance to a town hall and library in Northern Westchester will be blocked for a few days as crews work to replace sidewalks in the area, officials announced. In an announcement on Tuesday, Aug. 13, Mount Kisco village officials said the entrance to the town hall and Henry V. Kensing Memorial Library parking lot off of Main Street (Route 117) would be closed intermittently as crews work to replace the sidewalk in front. A serious crash left a 24-year-old man critically injured in Northern Westchester and also resulted in the arrest of an uninvolved person at the scene who allegedly impeded the investigation into the incident, police said. The crash happened on Sunday, Sept. 17 just before 5:20 p.m. in the area of Advance Auto Parts in Bedford at 794 North Bedford Rd. (Route 117), according to Bedford Police Lt. Jeffrey Gulick. One Killed In Saw Mill Parkway Crash Near Mount Kisco-Bedford Hills Border
One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash overnight in Northern Westchester. It happened around 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 on the northbound Saw Mill River Parkway at the Route 117 exit near the Mount Kisco/Bedford Hills border. As a result, northbound traffic was diverted off the parkway at Kisco Avenue while the roadway was closure for several hours during the accident investigation, Westchester County Police said. Saw Mill Parkway Stretch Reopens After Crash
This story has been updated. A section of the Saw Mill Parkway has reopened after a serious crash caused its closure for hours in Northern Westchester. The crash, on the southbound side, happened near Exit 42 (Route 117) in Bedford on Friday morning, Feb. 7. The roadway reopened around 9:30 a.m. During the closure, traffic was detoured off at Exit 42 to southbound Route 117 to Exit 39back onto the southbound Saw Mill River Parkway.

The Westchester County Health Department is extending its recommendation to get a Hepatitis A vaccine to anyone who ate at Winston restaurant on Main Street (Route 117) in Mount Kisco on Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3. The additional two exposure dates were added after health department staff interviewed restaurant workers as part of their disease investigation. Wind damaged trees falling across Route 9 has necessitated a major north-south road closing late Monday afternoon, Feb. 25. As of just before 4:30 p.m., Route 9 is closed from the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery’s main entrance to the Phelps Memorial Hospital entrance.
