Three Charged In Northern Westchester DWI Checkpoint A New York State Police DWI safety checkpoint in Westchester led to the arrest of three area residents for alleged impaired driving and an expensive ticket for a driver caught going more than 100 mph. New York State Police troopers conducted the checkpoint in the area of Route 9 in Cortlandt on Saturday, Feb. 2, making one felony and two misdemeanor DWI arrests. Additionally, 28 tickets were doled out to drivers for various vehicle and traffic violations, including one for a driver clocked doing 104 mph in the 55 mph zone.
