A man faces charges after beating a goose to death with a club at a Hudson Valley golf course, police said. The arrest stemmed from an incident on Friday, Aug. 18, when the Putnam County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) responded to a call from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Police regarding a golfer beating a Canada Goose to death. Golf Outing Scheduled In Memory Of Former North Salem HS Student
Friends and supporters of the late Zack Bassin of Carmel, who died in August at the age of 21 from a rare form of Cystic Fibrosis, will host a memorial golf outing in Putnam County to help raise funds to battle the disease.
