A Westchester County man was busted attempting to fill a fake prescription at a pharmacy in Fairfield County. Coleem Luther Field, 20, of Mount Vernon, was arrested on Sunday, Nov. 1, after allegedly attempting to fill a fake prescription at a central Greenwich pharmacy, said Greenwich Police Capt. Mark Zuccerella. According to Zuccerella, a pharmacist in Greenwich contacted police when Fields attempted to fill a prescription he believed to be fake. Alert Issued For Area 32-Year-Old Wanted For Forging Prescriptions
New York State Police investigators in Montgomery have issued an alert for a man wanted for possession of a forged instrument in the Hudson Valley. Rogelio Lucatero, 32, is wanted by state police after an investigation revealed that he stole prescription pads while he was a guest at someone’s home. Further investigation found that he forged numerous prescriptions for controlled substance medications. Police said that an Indictment Warrant was issued for his arrest from Orange County Court. Suspect Tried To Use Doctor's Professional Credentials To Get Drugs In Westchester, Police Say
Police are investigating a suspect who allegedly attempted to use a doctor’s prescription information to obtain narcotics. A doctor reported to members of the department at Scarsdale Police Headquarters on Saturday that someone had used her professional credentials without her consent to prescribe narcotics on two separate occasions. According to police, the woman was contacted by a pharmacy on Oct. 18 to confirm a past prescription request, which was called in by phone days earlier. Hudson Valley Pharmacist Sentenced In $9M Scam
An 83-year-old Suffern pharmacist who admitted to making millions in a prescription-selling scheme was sentenced to time served and ordered to turn over the $9 million he made peddling the pills across the country. Maurice Malin, who served one day in prison, was also sentenced to three years of supervised release, during his sentencing Monday in Manhattan Federal Court.
