Fire Breaks Out At Award-Winning Restaurant In Westchester An early morning fire caused damage to a renowned restaurant in Westchester, firefighters said.  The blaze happened a little after 3 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Blue Hill at Stone Barns restaurant in Tarrytown at 630 Bedford Rd., when a commercial alarm was triggered at the property, according to the Pocantico Hills Fire Department.  Upon arrival, police and firefighters discovered a cooking appliance fire on the exterior of the building that had spread inside, affecting the first and second floors.  With assistance from numerous mutual aid departments, firefighter…

School Fire: Solar Panel Goes Up In Flames In Northern Westchester A burnt-out solar panel caused flames to erupt on the roof of a school in Northern Westchester, requiring a quick response from numerous fire departments.  The blaze happened on Friday, July 21 around 1:40 p.m., when the Pocantico Hills and Archville Fire Departments were sent to the Pocantico Hills Central School for a fire on the roof.  According to the Pocantico Hills Fire Department, arriving crews confirmed that flames were coming from the roof of the building and quickly required a tower ladder and additional help from the Pleasantville and Sleepy Hollow Fire Depar…
