Car Bursts Into Flames After Crashing Into Pole In Northern Westchester A car burst into flames after a motorist crashed into a utility pole, toppling power lines in Northern Westchester. First responders in Somers were dispatched to Old Somers Road at approximately 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26, where there was a report of a multi-vehicle crash with injuries. Upon arrival, first responders reported that there were wires down and a vehicle fire. Somers EMS was able to attend to the lone occupant of one vehicle while crews waited to go to work putting out the fire until NYSEG arrived to secure the power.
