Firefighters responded to an incident reportedly involving a boiler at a concrete facility in Westchester. The incident happened on Monday, Dec. 23 at the Byram Concrete & Supply facility in North White Plains at 145 Virginia Rd., according to reports. Crews from the North White Plains Fire Department responded to the facility for an incident involving a boiler. There are unconfirmed reports that there was an explosion that resulted in injuries. Teens Rescued After Saving Dog At Northern Westchester Lake
A pair of 18-year-olds who jumped into the Cranberry Lake Preserve to rescue their dog wound up needing rescuing themselves. The two teens, each of Port Chester, were spotted struggling in the freezing water by a passerby, who called local police around 3:45 p.m. Thursday. The couple had gotten themselves and the dog -- who had fallen through the ice -- out of the lake before first responders arrived. Members of the North Castle Police Department were called to an area home after a local homeowner reported that she suspects she heard gunshots ring out in the street in the middle of the night. A North Lane resident reported to police shortly before 4:15 a.m. on Saturday, June 16 that she heard what she believed to be two gunshots, five minutes earlier, leading to a police investigation in the area.
