I-684 Reopens After 2 Tractor Trailers Jack-Knife, Leave Roadway In North Castle
Part of Interstate 684 in Northern Westchester has cleared following a crash involving two jack-knifed tractor-trailers. The incident happened on Monday, Dec. 16 at around 6 a.m., when two tractor-trailers were involved in a crash on I-684 northbound in North Castle, according to New York State Police. The two vehicles jack-knifed and went off the roadway as a result of the wintery weather, police said. Luckily, no injuries were reported. The interstate is now open to traffic.

Lane Reduction To Slow Traffic On Busy Interstate In Northern Westchester: Here's Where
Traffic on a stretch of I-684 in Westchester and Fairfield counties is set to be affected by a series of lane reductions, officials announced. Both directions of Interstate 684 in North Castle and Greenwich, between Exit 2 (Route 120) and Exit 3 (Route 22) will be reduced to one lane on Wednesday, Sept. 4, and Thursday, Sept. 5, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. The lane closures will be put into place between 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 5 a.m. on Thursday. The traffic impacts will allow crews to perform bridge work, officials said.

Police were faced with an unusual call when several goats were found roaming free in a Northern Westchester town. State officials issued an alert about an upcoming two-week-long road closure in Northern Westchester.
