Motorcyclist Driving In 'Unsafe Manner' Injured After Crashing In Hudson Valley, Police Say
A 56-year-old motorcyclist from the Hudson Valley was driving “in an unsafe manner” when he lost control and crashed into a parked vehicle, authorities said. The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office said the Highland resident was operating his bike on Vineyard Avenue in the Town of Lloyd when he wrecked just after midnight Tuesday, July 12. Deputies found the man lying on a sidewalk. A preliminary investigation found that he had crashed into the hood and windshield of the parked vehicle before he was ejected from his bike, police said. Hudson Valley Man, 28, Killed In Motorcycle Crash
A 28-year-old motorcyclist died after being hit by another vehicle in the Hudson Valley late Tuesday afternoon. The crash occurred around 3:54 p.m. Tuesday on Route 17 in Orange County, said Tuxedo Police Officer Girard Shiloh. According to Shiloh, the man died at the scene near the intersection with Arden Valley Road after a teenager from New Jersey who was traveling southbound, turned onto Arden Valley Road in front of the motorcycle, ejecting the driver onto the roadway. Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Westchester Crash
A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident on the westbound Cross County Parkway at New Rochelle Road that has closed the roadway in Bronxville. The crash occurred 1:30 p.m. Monday when the motorcyclist appears to have lost control and crashed, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police. The unidentified man was transported to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx with serious injuries, which appears non-life-threatening at this time, O'Leary said.
