Investigation Launched After 'Liberty Tree' Cut Down, North Castle Police Say Police in North Castle are investigating a suspicious incident in North White Plains that saw the famed “Liberty Tree” cut down near the Miller House. The North Castle Police Department was advised by North Castle Town Councilman Barry Reiter on Thursday morning that a suspect had cut down the Liberty Tree at Miller Hill Park overnight.
