Man Driving Drunk With Kids In Car Crashes Into Cruiser In Hudson Valley, Police Say A state police cruiser was hit by an alleged drunk driver with kids in his car as officers were arresting a woman for DWI. The incident took place in Rockland County around  5:20 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 25 on the Palisades Parkway in the town of Stony Point. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, troopers were stopped behind a vehicle on the Palisades Parkway. Two Drivers Injured During Crash Involving School Bus, Car In Hudson Valley, Police Say Two drivers were injured during a crash of a school bus in the Hudson Valley. The crash took place in New City shortly before 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 12. The bus was traveling south on Buena Vista Road when it collided with a Mazda traveling northbound, said Det. Norman Peters, with the Clarkstown Police. No children were aboard the bus at the time of the crash. Both drivers were transported by New City Ambulance for evaluation at a local hospital, Peters said. An investigation into how the accident occurred is still under investigation at this time.

The crash took place around 7:20 a.m., Friday, June 4, in Putnam County, on Route 22 in Patterson, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Byron R. Duarte Giron, age 23, of Dover, was driving a 2010 Mazda southbound when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a pole and overturned, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Route 22 has reopened. No charges will be filed in the case.

Mazda Recalls Nearly 190,000 Vehicles Mazda announced that it is recalling nearly 200,000 Mazda 3 compact cars nationwide due to failing windshield wipers. Over the weekend, the company posted documentation stating that the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is recalling models produced between 2016 and 2018. According to the NHTSA, metal deposits can cause the wiper relay to stick, knocking out the wipers and causing limited visibility for drivers. There have been no reported crashes or injuries due to the malfunction. Dealers will replace the front wiper control module at no cost to owners beginning on June …
