Byram Hills HS Wins Award Celebrating Female Representation In Computer Science
Byram Hills High School has been recognized for its female representation in computer science, the district announced Thursday, April 11. The award, called the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award, is a newly created honor from the College Board that recognizes schools that are closing the gender gap and getting more girls involved in computer science. Byram Hills Announces Valedictorian, Salutatorian
Byram Hills High School announced that Jackson Deitelzweig is the Class of 2018's valedictorian and Stella Li graduates as the salutatorian. Deitelzweig and Li were among the 205 students to graduate from Byram Hills on Tuesday, June 19. They both delivered speeches during the commencement ceremony held in the Concert Hall at the SUNY Purchase Performing Arts Center. Westchester High School Seniors Win Computing Award
Three Byram Hills High School seniors have won the 2018 Award for Aspirations in Computing from the Hudson Valley Affiliate of the National Center for Women & Information Technology, and 11 received honorable mention for the award. This was the first year that Byram Hills students were nominated for the award, which honors female high school students for their computing-related achievements and interests.
