Police Officer Credited With Saving Young Girl's Life In Area A quick-thinking police officer was in the right place at the right time and is now being credited for saving the life of a child who was choking. A Dutchess County 911 alert was issued warning officers in the Town of Fishkill that a child was choking and not breathing on Saturday, Jan. 4. Town of Fishkill Police Officer Kevin Martyn jumped into action when the dispatch came across his radio, and he was able to arrive at the scene within seconds.
