Peloton To Close Westchester Facility, With 75 Losing Jobs
Peloton has announced plans to shut down some of its facilities and lay off thousands of employees, including some workers in the region. On Tuesday, Feb. 8, the exercise equipment company announced plans to restructure and let go of a total of 2,800 employees globally. CEO John Foley also announced plans to step down. Peloton Recalls Treadmills After 72 Injuries, 1 Child Death Reported
Peloton recalled all of its treadmill machines Wednesday. The popular exercise equipment company issued an apology for not acting faster on reports of nearly 72 injuries and the death of a 6-year-old child, who was pulled under the rear of a treadmill. Of the 72 injuries, 29 were to children such as second- and third-degree abrasions, broken bones, and lacerations, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Police Ask Public's Help In Search For Grand Larceny Suspect
Have you seen him? New York State Police investigators are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to locate a wanted man who stole equipment from an Orange County business. An alert was issued on Wednesday from State Police in Middletown regarding John Foley, who was arrested and convicted on a grand larceny charge following an extensive investigation that determined he stole equipment from an area business and failed to meet court requirements.
