UConn Senior From Fairfield County Killed In Crash A University of Connecticut student from Fairfield County has died from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle rollover crash. The crash happened around 4 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 in Coventry, Connecticut, about seven miles west of UConn's campus in Storrs. The student has been identified as Cole Montefusco, 21, of Redding, a 2016 graduate of Joel Barlow High School. Montefusco was located on the side of the roadway seriously injured after being ejected from the vehicle during the crash on Boston Turnpike in the area of Lathrop Drive, the Coventry Police Department said. ID Released For Man Found Dead In Lake Carmel A Fairfield County man found dead in Lake Carmel after an exhaustive search has been identified by police in Putnam County. Jeremy Kipnis, 54, of Redding, was found floating in the middle of Lake Carmel around 5:30 a.m., Monday, July 22, said the Kent Police. Kipnis disappeared after telling his wife he was going swimming Saturday afternoon, July 20, but then never returned home.
