A 23-year-old took officers on a high-speed chase in Northern Westchester as he attempted to avoid a traffic stop, police said. Shortly before 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15 in Yorktown, an officer on patrol spotted a driver speeding on Underhill Avenue and failing to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Route 129, turning without signaling. A body found pulled from a section of the Croton Reservoir in Yorktown on Sunday, Jan. 20 is being handled as an apparent suicide. A rescue crew pulled the body from the waters shortly after it was discovered around 9 a.m. near the intersection of Hunterbrook Road and Baptist Church Road. Man Who Fled Scene Of Yorktown Crash Had Suspended License, Police Say
A 24-year-old man was unable to evade police after attempting to flee from an accident in Yorktown that left a property with damage. Officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to Hunterbrook Road at approximately 3:30 a.m. on July 1, where there was a report of a crash that left damage to a nearby property.
